Sainte Marine
Sainte Marine is a picturesque seaside village located in Brittany, France. It is a popular tourist destination known for its stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean, its quaint cobbled streets, and its charming local culture. The seaside resort of Benodet is just across the estuary.

Sainte Marine we visited the seaside town in September.There was a busy Antique market just starting on a car park near the beach.We walked down a narrow street between the fisherman cottages to one of the beaches.There is a nice restaurant overlooking the estuary where you can eat outside.We enjoyed a light meal watching the boats moored in the bay.
After our meal we moved the car a short distance to the car park in the photo.You can park right on the edge of the low cliffs looking out to sea.We had a walk along the cliff tops there are small rocky inlets you can watch the water coming in.There is another beach further on you can get to.
The history of Sainte Marine dates back to the 12th century when the village was founded by a Benedictine monk. The village developed over time, and in the 19th century it was a popular spot for the wealthy to vacation. It has since become a popular holiday destination for tourists, with many people flocking to its picturesque streets every summer.
There are a number of interesting places to see in Sainte Marine. These include the Eglise Saint-Léonard, a beautiful church built in the 13th century; the Place de la Republique, a public square where locals often gather to socialize; and the old harbour, which is home to a number of fishing boats.
Those looking for things to do outside of Sainte Marine can visit the nearby town of Quimper, where there are numerous shops, restaurants, and churches to explore. There is also the Parc Naturel Régional d'Armorique, a large national park with trails for hiking and biking, as well as a number of beaches and coves to explore.
