Mousterlin

Mousterlin is a strip of land sticking out from the Finistere Coast.It was a stormy looking day when we visited so we did not see the village and beach at its best.There is a long sweeping bay a nice flat sandy beach and rocky breakwaters which are popular with anglers. We had a short walk on the beach did not go to far from the car as it looked like it would rain.We saw a couple of cafes near the beach there are plenty of shops at Fouesnant just up the road.

Behind the beach is a wetland area and nature reserve which we will visit on a better day

The coastal landscape of Mousterlin is defined by its rocky cliffs, small coves, and sandy beaches. The village is a great destination for nature lovers, as it has many hiking trails and coastal walks. Visitors can also enjoy kayaking, fishing, and birdwatching in the area. One of the main attractions of Mousterlin is the nearby Pointe de Mousterlin, which is a 16th century lighthouse.

There are a few places to visit in the village itself, including the parish church of Saint-Pierre-et-Saint-Paul, which was built in the 17th century. The church has a beautiful interior with frescoes and stained-glass windows, and is a popular spot for tourists and locals alike.

Nearby attractions include the regional park of Armorique, which is located about 15 kilometers south of Mousterlin. This park covers over 25,000 acres of land and is perfect for hiking, cycling, and horseback riding. It also contains several historic monuments, such as the castle of Kernault and the Maison d'Armorique.

For those interested in history, the nearby city of Brest is home to some of the most important historical sites in the region. The city is home to the famous Château de Brest, which was built in the 16th century and is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The city also has several museums, including the Musée National de la Marine and the Musée des Beaux-Arts.

Finally, the nearby island of Île de Batz is a must-visit for any tourist. The island is known for its stunning scenery, its small villages, and its rich biodiversity. Visitors can explore the island on foot or by boat, and can enjoy the island’s many beaches, restaurants, and other attractions.
