Moelan sur Mer
Moelan sur Mer is a small village located in the Brittany region of France. It is situated on the south coast of the Finistere department, facing the Atlantic Ocean. The village has a rich history that dates back to the Middle Ages, when it was a popular destination for pilgrims travelling to Santiago de Compostela. The town of Clohars Carnoet is about 3 mile away.The old town of Quimperle is just a short drive away and worth a visit.

Moelan sur Mer is another nice little country village.We stopped there on our way to Quimperle.There are a few Hotels in the town and several restaurants. We spent 30 mins walking round the village centre called in a gift shop and bought a nice postcard.The card was like a water colour painting of the town.Found a nice cafe to write the card with our morning coffee and croissant before moving on
Places to see in the village include the Notre-Dame de la Clarté chapel, which was built in 1640 and is the oldest building in Moelan sur Mer. The Town Hall is also worth a visit, as it is a beautiful building built in the 19th century.
The nearby area is home to a range of attractions, including the picturesque beaches at Beg-Meil and Penfoul, which offer stunning views of the Atlantic coast. In addition, the nearby Île de Batz offers a variety of activities, such as walking, cycling, fishing and sailing. The island is also home to the Abbaye de Notre-Dame de la Clarté, a former monastery and now museum.
The nearby town of Quimper is also worth a visit, as it is home to a number of historic buildings, including the Gothic cathedral of Saint-Corentin and the Musée des Beaux-Arts. In addition to this, the town has a thriving arts and culture scene, with a range of galleries, theatres, and events throughout the year.
