Kerfany Plage
Kerfany Plage is a seaside village located in Brittany, France. The village is situated on the Côte d'Armor coast and is a popular destination for tourists due to its beautiful beaches and coastal scenery. The village is 2 miles from Belon and 10 miles from Pont Aven

Kerfany Plage is a sheltered beach close to where the River Belon and the river Aven flow into the Atlantic.There are so many beaches like this on the Finistere coast you are spoilt for choice. We had been to Port de Belon and were looking for a place to stop for a picnic lunch.This was ideal you could park overlooking the beach we had lunch sat on some rocks in front of the car.There is also at the back of the beach a large grassed area with picnic tables and a children`s playground.Next to the car park is a cafe and further round the bay is a restaurant / hotel with views across the bay.
After lunch we had a walk along the beach a watched 2 people launching a sailing boat.We only saw 6 people altogether so had the beach to ourselves. After the beach we took walk along the headland and then to the cafe for a coffee then back to our rented Gite the Mill House

The history of Kerfany Plage dates back to the 12th century when it was first mentioned in documents. The village was known as Kerfany until the 17th century when it was renamed Plage due to its proximity to the sea. The village has remained largely unchanged since then, retaining its small-town charm and rustic character.
There are several places to visit in and around Kerfany Plage. The main attraction is the beach, which is perfect for relaxing days spent sunbathing and swimming. The nearby town of Ploemeur is also worth a visit, with its historic buildings and picturesque harbour. Nature lovers can explore the nearby Pointe de Kerfany nature reserve, which is home to a variety of birds and wildlife.
Other nearby activities include golf, horse-riding, sailing, and cycling. There are also several nearby museums, including the Musée de la Mer in nearby Ploemeur, which offers an insight into the culture and history of the area. For those looking for a bit of nightlife, there are several bars and restaurants in the village, with live music and local cuisine on offer.
