Ile Tudy
Ile Tudy is a picturesque fishing village located in the south of Brittany, It is known for its stunning coastline, beautiful beaches, and tranquil atmosphere. The village is 12 miles from Fouesnant and 6 miles from Sainte Marine
The centre of Ile Tudy
Ile Tudy is built on a narrow strip of land the sea is on one side and the river estuary on the other. The village is only about 3 streets wide the sea comes right up to the buildings.We parked next to the marina there is room for about 20 cars we visited in September so it was not over busy.
The area round the car park has a small selection of shops and cafes.We spent half day there walking around the village plus the usual stop for a coffee and baguette.This is yet another attractive seaside village in the Finistere area. Just when you think you wont find any where better you do

The history of Ile Tudy dates back to the 6th century, when it was founded by a group of monks from the nearby monastery of Plouharnel. The village was once an important port for the region, and has long been a popular destination for tourists.
Today, Ile Tudy is a charming and peaceful village, with a traditional Breton atmosphere. Visitors can explore the village's cobblestone streets, charming shops, and lovely restaurants. There are also plenty of activities to enjoy in the area, including sailing, kayaking, and cycling.
Nearby attractions include the Pointe de la Torche, a stunning headland offering spectacular views of the coast; the village of Bénodet, located on the estuary of the Odet River; and the Pointe du Raz, a rocky cape at the westernmost point of Brittany.
For visitors looking to explore more of the region, there are plenty of day trips to take. Ile Tudy is just a short drive away from Quimper, a city full of culture and history, as well as the stunning Pointe du Van. The nearby town of Concarneau is also a popular day trip destination, with its charming harbor and colorful 16th-century town walls.
