Ducey Manche Normandy is a small town a few miles from Mont Saint Michel.We were on our way to Saint Hilaire du Harcourt, Ducey is halfway between the two.
The Chateau and gardens at Ducey
This was our first visit to Ducey and as it was lunch time we decided to stop.There is a nice car park just across the road from the Chateau. Which made a perfect picnic spot with the Chateau and gardens on one side and the river on the other.Apart from the chateau the most noticeable feature of the town is the flower displays. They were everywhere you looked the town regularly wins awards for the flower displays.The popular Hotels in and around the town

1. Mont Saint-Michel: This spectacular castle-island is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most popular tourist destinations in Normandy.
2. Utah Beach: This is one of the landing beaches of the D-Day invasion and a popular tourist attraction in the area.
3. Château de Granville: This beautiful castle is located in Granville and was once the residence of the famous writer Victor Hugo.
4. Bay of Mont Saint-Michel: Explore the stunning scenery of the bay with its tidal flatlands and sandbanks.
5. The Cotentin Peninsula: This beautiful region is home to a wealth of historic towns and villages, as well as stunning beaches and coastal views.
6. Pointe de Cotentine: Located in La Haye-du-Puits, this is one of the most beautiful viewpoints in Normandy. 7. La Manche Regional Nature Park: Enjoy the stunning landscape of this nature park and its numerous walking trails.
8. La Hague Peninsula: This is a stunning area of natural beauty and a great place to explore the local coastline.
9. Falaise de Vire: This is a spectacular cliff face located in the Côte d’Émeraude region.
10. Pays de Valognes: Explore the picturesque small towns and villages of the Valognes region.
You can visit Chateau Montgommery it is open to the public in the summer on Tuesday Thursday and Saturday afternoon
