Courtils Manche Normandy is a picturesque village a few miles from the town of Avranches We had been visiting Avranches and were on our way to Mont Saint Michel.We set the sat nav and just by luck it took us through the village of Courtils.

You can see the sign on the building on the left for the nearby Alligator Bay worth a visit it is only a few miles away
Places to visit near the village
1. Mont Saint-Michel: This iconic tidal island located just a few kilometers from Courtils is a must-see for any tourist. It is home to an impressive Gothic-style abbey, which has been a pilgrimage destination since the 8th century.
2. Utah Beach: This famous beach is located just a few kilometers from Courtils and is most often associated with the D-Day landings of World War II. Visitors can explore the areas military history and monuments, as well as the nearby American Cemetery.
3. Pointe du Grouin: This scenic area is located in the nearby Cotentin Peninsula and is a popular spot for visitors looking to take in the stunning coastal views.
4. Bayeux Tapestry Museum: Located in the nearby town of Bayeux, this museum is home to the world-famous Bayeux Tapestry, a 70-meter long embroidered cloth depicting the events leading up to the Norman conquest of England in 1066.
5. Château de Sully: This impressive 16th-century castle is located a short drive from Courtils. The castles interior is filled with ornate furnishings and features a beautiful French garden.
