The Castle at Hardelot France
Hardelot Castle photos and guide
The castle of Hardelot is just a short distance from the seaside town of Hardelot Plage.In the village of Condette You can park right in front of the castle.
There is a path all round the castle which makes an interesting walk

The castle was built in the 9th century to guard the area from invasions.
In the 13th century it was used as a summer home for the counts of Boulogne.
The area around the castle as several picnic places.
There is a large lake nearby you can walk around.
The village of Condette has a main street with a few shops. in the roads off the main street there are some impressive looking houses.

It is about 4 years since our last visit to the village of Condette and the castle. So we were interested to see how the restoration work had gone.The castle looks really good it as been tastefully restored.A lot of work as gone in to the surrounding area as well.

Just passed the house in the photo is a mini roundabout you turn left.Down a one way lane which takes you to the castle
