The seaside town of Biarritz
Biarritz is located on the coast a short distance from the border with Spain.
In the Aquitaine région of France. You can reach the town by a good motorway system.
There is a high speed train service from Paris.
You can fly to the local airport from London and Dublin with Ryanair.
Biarritz
The town has a wide choice of sporting activities riding, walking, subaqua diving, tennis, squash.
There are 10 golf courses in the area. You can get a golf pass to play some of them at a reduced rate.
The town is a world class surfing centre and has several beaches.A Map of the area.

The town has some interesting museums a Biarritz history museum at Rue Broquedis 64200 and a chocolate museum.

A good way to get your bearings is to take a ride on the little train. It takes you round the town centre it runs every 40 mins.
The town centre has been altered to make more pedestrian areas.
There is a covered market at Les Halles open in the mornings we liked the local Basque ham. The town has all the usual shops, cafes, and restaurants. This Guide will give an idea of the cost of eating out in the town.
Things to do in the town
1. Start your trip with a visit to the historic Biarritz Lighthouse, located on the edge of the Atlantic Ocean. Admire the stunning views from the top of the lighthouse and take some photos.
2. Walk along the beachfront promenade and admire the beautiful architecture of the Belle Époque. Stop for a coffee or lunch in one of the many cafes and restaurants located alongside the promenade.
3. Visit the famous Biarritz Casino. Enjoy the stunning views from the terrace and take a chance on the tables or slot machines.
4. Take a leisurely stroll through the narrow streets of the Old Town of Biarritz. Enjoy the ambiance of the cobbled streets and admire the old buildings.
5. Take the funicular to the top of the Grande Plage and admire the stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean.
6. Spend the evening in one of Biarritzs many bars or nightclubs. Enjoy the local culture and atmosphere of the town.
7. Spend the day exploring the nearby Basque Country. Take a day trip to the nearby towns of San Sebastian, Biarritz, or even as far as Bilbao to explore the unique culture and heritage of the region.
