Bethune
As you get closer to the town you notice several large coal tips but do not be put off.This is a nice market town with attractive red-brick buildings. The town was almost destroyed in WWl by fighting and shelling.The 14th century belfry tower was all that was left.

Bethune has a good selection of quality shops and cafes to walk round. There is car parking in the street as well as a main car park. A local market is held every Monday morning in the town centre with a wide range of items to buy. Hotels in the town
