the barn overlooking the pool...
The Tobacco Barn is a beautiful, architect-designed barn conversion with high quality fixtures, furnishings and decoration throughout. Visit our site www.tobaccobarncompany.com
The renovation project, completed in spring 2012, offers a superb property with an acre of private grounds with lawned garden, 11m x 5m private pool and large, shaded dining terrace with BBQ and expansive countryside views.
The accommodation in the barn is spread across two floors. There is a main living room with a feature fireplace, TV with UK satellite channels, Wi-Fi internet and doors opening onto the front terrace. It also has a fully equipped kitchen with oven, hob, fridge freezer and dishwasher and a dining area with table and chairs.
The Tobacco Barn sleeps 10 people in four bedrooms. Bedroom One is a double room on the ground floor with an ensuite wetroom with shower, toilet and double hand basin.
The Second bedroom is also a double room with an ensuite bath, toilet, shower and double hand basin. It also has a door to a private terrace with a table and chairs. Bedroom Three is a double bed and Bedroom four is ideal for children with a bunk bed and two singles.
There is an additional WC located on the ground floor and a separate bathroom with WC, shower and hand basin on the second floor.
The Tobacco Barn is located in open countryside 5 km from Monpazier. Monpazier lies between Villenueve, Sarlat and Bergerac in the Dordogne department. It's a very pretty bastide hilltop village with all amenities including an excellent traditional bistro restaurant.
Monflanquin (20 min) is an old bastide town with winding streets and fabulous views. All amenities in the village include a large supermarket, cafés, restaurants, bakeries.
The Dordogne area of France is one of the most beautiful and one of the most popular. It has lovely countryside interspersed with medieval, bastide towns where fairytale châteaux rise from the morning mist - it is also a great region for food lovers: all the Perigordian specialities such as Foie Gras, confit d'oie, canard and mushrooms of all types are in abundance.
