Vire
Vire Normandy is a town built next to one of the main rivers of the region the river Vire. The town is about 16 miles from the village of Villedieu les Poeles were we spent the morning walking round the street market.

The photo was taken on the other side of the river Vire you can see the town in the background. Most of the original town was destroyed in the War.We spent a hour walking round the town centre looking at the shops. Before heading home to Le Tanu A local Map of the area

In front of the Saint Eroult Church and only 40 minutes away from Mont Saint Michel; this traditional 3 Star hotel with garden and swimming pool provides a green stay on the gateway Normandie Maine Regional Park at Mortain.
The hotel restaurant; Saint Vital Table provides guests with regional creative cooking. Hotel de la Poste has 3 lounges; one with terrace access and panoramic views of the Cance valley; the other has a large fireplace and there is also a free private lounge.
Guests can use the terrace for lunch; dinner and drinking. All guest rooms have a double or twin bed; private bathroom; TV; telephone; desk and WIFI access.
